TRX Strong 1.8

This TRX Strong workout utilizes both traditional strength training along with suspension training. Jump into the gym and GO for this powerhouse 25 minute workout.

Station Setup: After completing your warm up, you will move through the 2 blocks of exercises.

Block 1 focuses on the traditional training using weights. Any of the exercises that have “Hold” after them will have you perform the exercise as normal for the first half of the time, then hold the movement at halfway for the remaining half of the time. Remain as steady and as controlled as possible. Eg. For the Dumbbell Bicep Curl – Hold, you will perform a regular bicep curl then bring your arms up to the halfway point midway through the set, and hold the dumbbells steady until the time is complete.

Block 2 targets the same full body exercises as Block 1, but this time only using the TRX Suspension trainer. This will help to add more strength and stability to your movements.

25 minutes is all you’ll need to complete this workout, but if you want a further challenge, extend this one out to 50 minutes by doubling up the time, or repeating Blocks 1 & 2 again.

Equipment Needed: TRX Suspension Trainer, Dumbbells, Kettlebells

His facility, Pure Wellness Studio, has been named one of the top wellness facilities in Edmonton for the past 5 years, and his teams of 34 trainers, coaches, massage therapists, and acupuncturists deliver results to over 400 clients weekly. Throughout his entire life Mike had struggled with his weight. It came to a climax as a Kinesiology major in university; Mike wasn’t living by what he was learning. Due to his poor fitness and nutrition habits, his weight had increased to 275lbs. It was then that he knew that he needed to make a change. Through a combination of nutrition, exercise, and development of his Why, one of the most important factors Mike believes for achieving your goals, he was able to drop over 85lbs. Mike credits his own personal struggle with weight as his motivating factor for helping his clients achieve their personal best, and making a difference in their lives.  Fitness isn’t a punishment; it’s a blessing. Nutrition isn’t a one-size-fits-all and may not look the same for everyone, but it is something worth fighting for. Mike earned his Bachelor degree in Physical Education with majors in Kinesiology and Sports Administration from the University of Alberta in Canada.
